The LA-based Street Poets empower youth to transcend self-destructive lifestyles by giving them an artistic outlet for expression. Christopher Henrickson created this company as an intervention outlet for the at-risk students in the LA area. There are examples of poems and songs read by their teenage writers, some of which have lived through horrific events in their short lives. (11:41)
