Video Production: Project: Post-Production
Review some of the special effects and tips that the project team went through in their postproduction phase. Run time 04:58
Liverworts, Mosses, and Ferns
This video gives a quick overview of some different types of spore-bearing plants. Dr. Matt von Konrat explains the reproduction of liverworts, mosses, and ferns to a high school group of students. Audio is poor but information is good. Run time 07:50
The Pine Tree
This short video explains the reproduction process of the Pine tree and as well as the parts of the male and female cones. It also briefly addresses the adaptations of the pine tree and pine needles. Run time 02:41
Square Root Operations
Since Pythagorean theorem proofs requires us to square numbers and find square roots, reviewing square root operations from Algebra is really important. When working with the Pythagorean theorem, it is especially important for you to remember how to simplify square roots and rationalize fractions that have a square root in the denominator. (3:37)
Finding the Hypotenuse
The hypotenuse of a right triangle is the side that is opposite of its right angle. Sometimes we have problems that ask us to find the missing hypotenuse of a right triangle. This video describes how to use the Pythagorean theorem to find the hypotenuse, but only when the length measure of the two legs is known. (1:16)
Space Diagonal
The Pythagorean theorem is useful when we need to find the length of a space diagonal in a rectangular prism. This video describes how the space diagonal passes through the space between vertices, instead of the bases or lateral faces. In other words, it is the diagonal that joins two opposing vertices in the prism, or the two vertices that don't share a face with each other. (1:48)
Pythagorean Theorem Converse
This video describes the converse of the Pythagoreum Theorem. If we know that the sum of two square sides in a triangle equals the square of the third side, we can conclude that the triangle is a right triangle. Pythagorean triples are commonly seen side lengths that indicate when a triangle is a right triangle. Knowing these triples will save time when in calculations related to the Pythagorean theorem. (2:51)
45 45 90 Triangles
A 45 45 90 triangle is a special type of isosceles right triangle where the two legs are congruent to one another and the non-right angles are both equal to 45 degrees. This video describes how to use the Pythagorean theorem to find the missing legs or hypotenuse of 45 45 90 triangles. (4:17)
Distance Formula
This video explains how to derive the distance formula, which is used to find the straight distance between two points in a coordinate plane, by Using what we know about the Pythagorean theorem. The distance formula is a standard formula that allows us to plug a set of coordinates into the formula and easily calculate the distance between the two. (4:26)
The Vikings' Navigation
This is a video about how the Vikings navigated the Atlantic Ocean. This is the third segment of NASA Sci Files "The Case of the Technical Knockout" explaining how the Vikings navigated the Atlantic Ocean without the use of modern technology. See how ancient navigation techniques worked in this video from NASA
Multiplying Polynomials, Part 6
Part 6 of Multiplying Polynomials covers the special product of squaring a binomial. There are English captions at the bottom of the screen. (10:53)
Second 2008 Presidential Debate (Full Video)
Full video of the second 2008 Presidential Debate with Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) and Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL). The debate is narrated by Tom Brokaw-questions were selected by Brokaw in a town hall format.
Pres. Obama Address to Congress
Pres. Obama addresses the nation before a joint session of Congress. In his speech focusing on the economy and the promotion of his economic agenda.
How To Completely Format A Hard Drive
Watch How To Completely Format A Hard Drive. How To Completely Format A Hard Drive. Sometimes your hard drive crashes and you need to reformat it to get it running again. Other times you might reformat it because you have a virus or you want to upgrade your operating system.
Ultimate Success Vocabulary: Lesson 9

Heart Attack
This 3D medical animation shows a heart attack resulting from atherosclerosis, which is inflammation of an artery. It was designed to be an immersive experience to hold the viewer's interest in this complex, slow-developing process. Every shot was conceptualized as a visual effect to evoke the sensation of a journey within a dynamic and diverse environment. Beginning with the probable cause, which is damage to the endothelial wall, the story progresses in detail through the stages of atheroscler
Shoshone Paiute History
This is the first of three videos showing a short version of Shoshone Paiute History. Please watch all three to get the full effect of how these Indian Tribes were treated by the White Men in the late 1800's. Students should have a map of this area so they can see where it is. Especially important is how they lived on the land and respected the animals. Many myths are explained.
How to Create Free Google Apps Email like gmail for My Domain
This video provides a step by step tutorial for starting a successful blog. This video is hosted by http://fourblogger.com. The speaker tells you the directions as you see the screen with direction arrows (Running Time 4:53).
A Republic, If You Can Keep It: A Look into Types of Government
This ten minute video deals with types of government and the Constitution. A good video that explains the difference between types of government and rulers. Students should have a note sheet with the various types of governments so that they can add information from this video to their notes. Some information is questionable and this video needs to be reviewed before showing it to students.
Point-Slope Form
This video explains how to use point-slope form when writing a linear equation. Point-slope form can be written using one point and the slope or when given two points since we can calculate the slope from the two points. Once we have an equation in point-slope form, it can be rewritten in slope-intercept or standard form. (1:12)
