Ihor Holubizky, senior curator at the McMaster Museum of Art, talks about two paintings by recently deceased experimental rocker Don Van Vliet, also known as Captain Beefheart. The works are currently stored in the Museum's vault, and one, "Lycanthrope's Pig", will be included in the exhibition Autoplasmic, running from March 12 to May 28, 2011.

Set up MIG welding plant

gas bottle to use when using a MIG welding plant and to connect the hoses and
regulator to the plant. Once this has been done the learner will then set the gas
flow rate and check that the plant is safely connected up. You will need to record
the things you do in setting up the MIG welding plan. The learner needs to record
the steps taken in setting up the MIG welding plant on a report form.

Set up oxy-acetylene equipment for cutting
In this task the learner is required to set up the
oxy-acetylene equipment for cutting a piece of steel 12mm thick. The learner will
need to select the correct cutting tip and set the gas pressures to the correct
values. A “Cutting Settings Chart” is used to set up the equipment correctly. The
size of the tip and the gas pressures that are selected are recorded on a report
form.
