New Venture Development and Industry Analysis Map (graduate level)
The Venture Development courses (I & II) are the capstone courses of the McGuire Entrepreneurship Program. The Number for Nurses Computer Assisted Learning Package begins with a basic principles section which is followed by application to nursing practice. The basic principles section deals with addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, S.I. units and scales and gauges. Standardization of starter culture for rice wine (Tapuy) processing
A report on a study aimed to develop instant starter culture for rice wine (tapuy) processing, by (1) isolating and identifying useful microorganisms for starter culture production; (2) evaluating the saccharifiying ability and alcohol production of the isolated strains; (3) developing a starter culture and determine its storage stability; and (4) evaluating the quality of rice wine produced by the developed starter culture.

Too Much Pressure!
In this activity, students learn how engineers design faucets. Students will learn about water pressure by building a simple system to model faucets and test the relationship between pressure, area and force. This is a great outdoor activity on a warm day.
Compare Human-made Objects with Natural Objects
In small groups, students will experiment and observe the similarities and differences between human-made objects and nature. The students will compare the function and structure of hollow bones with drinking straws, bird beaks, tool pliers, bat wings and airplane wings. A classroom discussion can be held to discuss similarities and differences that were observed along with follow up assessment activities such as journal writing and Venn diagrams.
Wind Chimes
Using their knowledge of physics, students will build a wind chime. Mathematical computations will be done to determine the length of the pipes.
Killdeer eggs
Killdeer are birds, and they lay eggs just like all other birds do. Killdeer lay their eggs on the ground, in gravel, on rooftops, or wherever the splotchy pattern of the eggs may be hidden best. The eggshells are hard for added protection.
