A Verb in English Grammar
A verb is a word that shows an action or describes a state of being. A verb is one of the most important parts of the sentence but it can also be one of the trickest. This video moves rapidly, but does give students some idea of what verbs are about and how they change form according to the nouns. A few examples include: Dave runs. I run. She runs. We run. They run. There are not enough examples in the video to be of use unless shown a few times. (01:15)
HST.723 Neural Coding and Perception of Sound (MIT)
This course focuses on neural structures and mechanisms mediating the detection, localization and recognition of sounds. Discussions cover how acoustic signals are coded by auditory neurons, the impact of these codes on behavioral performance, and the circuitry and cellular mechanisms underlying signal transformations. Topics include temporal coding, neural maps and feature detectors, learning and plasticity, and feedback control. General principles are conveyed by theme discussions of auditory

Representatives can be members of several different committees during any given session. (Video is narrated with slides and speeches.)
ESD.801 Leadership Development (MIT)
This seminar meets six times during the semester. Students work in a seminar environment to develop leadership capabilities.
