Valery Gergiev conducts the Mariinsky Orchestra, (formerly known as the Kirov Orchestra) in a performance of Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 1 (Winter Daydreams) in January 2010 at the Salle Pleyel, Paris. Gergiev and the Orchestra will perform all six Tchaikovsky symphonies in three performances during their residency at Cal Performances, October 14-16, 2011, at Zellerbach Hall on the UC Berkeley campus. Introduction to Patterns
This computer-animated video is an introduction to patterns containing pictures. Students are told to look for repeating symbols to identify patterns and are shown examples of repeating patterns. A series of pictures not containing a pattern is also shown to aid students in learning the concept of repeating symbols. ( 1:34)
