Set up oxy-acetylene equipment for cutting
In this task the learner is required to set up the
oxy-acetylene equipment for cutting a piece of steel 12mm thick. The learner will
need to select the correct cutting tip and set the gas pressures to the correct
values. A “Cutting Settings Chart” is used to set up the equipment correctly. The
size of the tip and the gas pressures that are selected are recorded on a report
form.
