This class explores the foundations of the environmental justice movement, current and emerging issues, and the application of environmental justice analysis to environmental policy and planning. It examines claims made by diverse groups along with the policy and civil society responses that address perceived inequity and injustice. While focused mainly on the United States, international issues and perspectives are also considered.

Penn's Mask and Wig Club is an all-male comedy troupe that has entertained Philadelphians and the Penn community since 1889 with its original revues, often featuring men dressed up as women.
At the time of Mask and Wig's founding, most colleges were open only to men, so the troupe's cast was all male. Due to the popularity of burlesque during that era, the club adopted the genre.
"Blasting Off" is a song about counting by 5's to 100. Some of the lyrics include-"Blasting Off. It's a rocket ship race. Counting by 5's As we fly into face" As they count by 5's they also show rocket ships to match each number. The lyrics are repeated several times. This would be a good teaching resource for elementary students and/or special education students. This is a fun, different way to introduce or review counting by 5's. (2:00)

This video shows how to use a Venn Diagram. These are used to help organize your thoughts when writing a compare/contrast essay. The topics being compared in this video, Edward Cullen from the Twilight books vs. the classic Byronic Hero, are best suited for older students; however, younger students could get the idea of how to set up and use a Venn Diagram. In this video, students will witness hippos cozying up to crocodiles. The hippo starts licking the crocodile bodies. The crocs put up with this because the hippo is not a threat and it is much larger and stronger than the crocodiles. This is a great teaching resource for elementary/middle school students. It would work well in conjunction with a science lesson on reptiles, habitats, and odd animal behaviors. Students will enjoy this cute video and it will also help to build background knowledge
