The Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67, was written by Ludwig van Beethoven in 1804–08. This symphony is one of the most popular and well-known compositions in all of classical music, and one of the most often played symphonies. Daniel Barenboin conducts the Berliner Philharmoniker in this video of the 1st Movement of Symphony No. 5, Allegro con brio. Barenboim is known for interpreting music as close to the composer's intentions as possible.
