About the Film "What's on Your Plate?"
In “What’s on Your Plate,” Sadie and Safiyah, who are two eleven-year-old, African-American city kids, go on this journey to understand their place in the food chain. The film is inspired by them looking at food and going around to stores and seeing, “Where does this food come from?” Like, “Why are we getting potatoes from Canada, when there are potatoes grown 100 miles away?” And along the way they talk to farmers and food activists and policy makers an

This image is a handwritten letter from Henry M. Flagler to Margaret Olivia Slocum Sage. The writer sends a donation to Mrs. Sage to be passed on to the Carlisle Indian School and praises its work.,Marriage to financier Russell Sage in 1869 meant that Olivia Sage was now a socially-prominent New York matron, but she seems to have had little money at her discretion even for causes she believed in passionately. Although both Olivia and Russell Sage were enthusiastic about the Carlisle Indian Schoo

Penn State professor Joan Redwing discusses harnessing solar energy on a very small scale
Joan Redwing, professor of electrical engineering and materials science at Penn State, researches ways to harness the sun's power by conducting it through wires made of silicon.
Election Fellows
The Election Fellows program is a partnership among the University of Rochester, Monroe Community College, Roberts Wesleyan College, and the Monroe County Board of Elections. Through the program, 150 undergraduates (50 from each school) had the opportunity to participate directly in the electoral process by working as college poll inspectors, assisting voters as they casted their ballots in the November 2nd general election. Hanselminutes on 9 - Phil Haack, Ted Neward, Two Friends and Qdoba In this found video (I found it on my Windows 7 Phone, oops!) Scott is at Qdoba with Phil Haack, Ted Neward and two other gentlemen whose names escape me. As I recall, the conversation became so interesting that I had to pull out my phone and start recording the raw footage. That footage is here, remainging raw. We talk about Testing, Culture, Microsoft, Agile and Tacos.

"Clean Up Robot" Song
The Clean Up Robot Song teaches students about clean up time in a different, creative way. Some of the lyrics include----"I am the clean up robot. Having so much fun putting toys away. Doing what my teachers say. Throwing trash away," etc. This would be a good teaching resource for the beginning of the year when elementary students are learning procedures and routines. This would be well suited for young students and/or special education students. (2:04)
