Louis Pasteur and the History of Pasteurization
Pasteurization is the process of heating liquids for the purpose of destroying bacteria, protozoa, molds, and yeasts. This process was named after its creator, French chemist and microbiologist Louis Pasteur. The video discusses the history behind Pasteur's breakthrough (beginning with the pasteurization of beer and wine in France that eventually lead to the pasteurization of milk) while also explaining the process of pasteurization in easy to understand terms.
