While attending a parade in Midland, Texas, former Masked Rider Perry Joe Church knew that is what he wanted to do someday.
Later, Church was given that opportunity while attending college at Texas Tech by representing the school as the Masked Rider from 1982-1983. He still recalls the excitement of running onto the field during football games and being a part of one of Texas Tech's most beloved traditions.
