Topological Features of a Compressible Plasma Vortex Sheet: 6 Cases
The Voyager and Pioneer Spacecraft have detected large-scale quasi-periodic plasma fluctuations in the outer heliosphere beyond 20 AU. A plasma vortex sheet model can explain these fluctuations and the observed correlations between various physical variables. The large scale outer heliosphere is modeled by solving the 3-D compressible magneto-hydrodynamic equations involving three interacting shear layers. In his first Texas speaking engagement, filmmaker Reginald Bullock hosted a brief discussion following a screening of his thought-provoking short film "A War for Your Soul" at Del Mar College (DMC) as part of an extended Juneteenth observance by the Corpus Christi Chapter of the Texas Association of Black Personnel in Higher Education (TABPHE) and the DMC Diversity and Ethnic Awareness and Training Committee. The event was held on July 16, 2011 in Richardson Performance Hall.

Hornig , M.D.,who was awarded his M.D. from the University of Alberta, did his Residency at the University of Alberta and completed his fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. His specialties include, endoscopic thyroid and parathyroid surgery, transcutaneous thyroid laser surgery, facial plastic surgery, microvascular reconstructive surgery, head and neck tumors. Dr. Hornig is Board Certified in Otolaryngology.

The Diesel Applied Technology program at Del Mar College recently purchased three new pieces of equipment - an overhead crane, four mobile lifts and a natural gas engine -- to better train students.
