An international team of astronomers has discovered an enormous galaxy cluster producing stars at a fantastic pace. Galaxy clusters, the Universe's largest structures, are groups of galaxies bound by gravity with a supermassive black hole at the center. Most galaxy clusters produce few stars. The course discusses a large number of biological organisms with smart constructions, unusual mechanisms or clever sensing and processing methods and presents a number of technical examples and designs of bio-inspired instruments
Event Description: Dozens of College of Charleston premed students will participate in the Beach Sweep/River Sweep on September 15, 2012. Students in the Chemistry and Biology for Premed Students First Year Experience Learning Community will get to know the Charleston region while serving the community in a way that relates to their academic interests.
