Equation Intercepts
This video clip describes how the x- and y-intercepts of a line, or linear equation intercepts, are often used in problems involving lines and their graphs. Linear equation intercepts are important points to be able to understand and decipher in applications of linear equations problems and can also be used when graphing lines. When someone goes to the emergency room with chest pain, how do doctors determine if the person is having a heart attack or some other issue? Advances in technology may be changing the way doctors diagnose chest pain.
In this interview, the University of Maryland School of Medicine's Dr. Charles White, professor of radiology, and Dr. Shawn Robinson, assistant professor of cardiology, discuss diagnosing chest pain, including causes other than a heart attack.
