Fawaz Gerges is director of the Middle East Centre and professor of Middle East politics and international relations at LSE.

CATwalk 2011 Supports The University of Arizona Cancer Center
The annual CATwalk has raised more than $250,000 in the past eight years in support of the Bobbi Olson Fund for women's cancer research, education and prevention at The University of Arizona Cancer Center. This year's goal was to raise more than $100,000 at the 10th annual CATwalk, held Oct. 23.

Dennis Lockhart, president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, addresses students, faculty, staff and community members on the topic of "Observations on the Work of and Working at the Fed."
In the talk, Lockhart provides a basic introduction to the work of the Fed, discusses his own career path that led him to his current position, and shares "a day in the life", detailing his meetings, actions, and responsibilities on the job.
