Don't Hate the Player, Hate the Game: Internet Games, Social Inequality and Racist Talk as Griefing
This talk recaps the history of racist griefing online and link the current crisis in racial discourse in the US with this practice, exploring the implications for digital games as a transnational public sphere. Games are a radically transnational medium: as Martin Lister writes in New Media: An Introduction, 'even before Pokemon, the videogame was perhaps the most thoroughly transnational form of popular culture, both as an industry (with Sony, Sega and Nintendo as the key players) but also at
3.1 Lived experience Phenomenologists seek to describe people's lived experience, meanings and consciousness (i.e. the way we perceive, think and feel). They focus on how bodies are experienced at a subjective and intersubjective (relational) level. Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900), an early existential philosopher, insisted on the primacy of the body, and resisted mind–body dualism, arguing for the unity of mind (or soul) and body: Art that is not language: Anthony Forge and Kamasan painting First Snowfall of Fall Semester At WSU Pullman La domination de l'espace et les réseaux de satellite (video)

Anthony Forge argued that art has a visual quality, summed up by a quoted line from dancer Isadore Duncan who said ‘If I could tell you what it meant, there would be no point in dancing it'. His interest in art as non-verbal communication led him to Bali and Kamasan Painting. His work in Bali allowed him to explore the ways in which his Balinese collaborators experienced the world, and to
PULLMAN, Wash.— Students at Washington State University got a pre-Thanksgiving surprise this morning. A few inches of snow fell in Pullman overnight, forcing students to dig through boxes and closets to find their winter gear.
