Funeral Honors On Reception Of The Remains Of Abraham Lincoln, Late President of the United States
The broadside gives information on the arrangements for the viewing of the late president. The funeral train was met at the Union Depot and the president's body was escorted to the statehouse. Assistant marshals met trains telling people where to stand in line for the viewing. The pall bearers were Hon. David Kilgore, Col. Wm. C. Kise, Hon. R. W. Thompson, Isaac Jenkinson, Esq., Hon. John H. Farquhar, Hon. Jer. Sullivan, Col. K. G. Shryock, Lewis Burk, Esq., Hon. Ralph Hill and Col. John A. Mann
News from the Seat of War! Indianapolis Daily Journal Extra, 1861
The broadside reports the news of Fort Sumter being attacked. The fort was fired upon all night and smoke rose from it the next morning. Reactions from Montgomery, Alabama; Savannah, Georgia; Cincinnait, Ohio; Providence, Rhode Island; and Boston, Massasschutes are given. The lithograph includes lists of commissioned officers, non-commissioned officers, and privates in the 23rd Battery. Captain Charles A.
