Vues r
Swarm of Common Jellyfish
This short video gives excellent real life, close up footage of a swarm of Common Jellyfish. As its name suggests, the common jellyfish (Aurelia aurita) is the most common jellyfish species on British shores. The body is a saucer shaped 'bell', which is colorless except for four obvious violet gonads visible in the center of the disc. The outer edges are fringed with many small tentacles, and four stocky 'arms' surround the mouth. This is a great resource to help build background knowledge
