In 1599 a large English army landed in Ireland. Essex was once leading the navy. Essex made secret deals with the rebel leader. Robert Cecil started secret correspondence with James VI of Scotland to garantee his own continuity in power. When Essex came back to England he was interrogated and taken to court.

Elizabeth was in power longer than anybody else until her time. Some corrupt and ambitious members around her thought her umpopular. The video shows one of the queens speeches to parliament The golden speech. The Mps supported her again. She soon fell ill. She refused to go to bed. Elizabeth died in 1603 and James Stuart was claimed James I of England. The video describes Elizabeth's funeral and her legacy.
