An algebraic equation is solved step-by-step on an interactive board in this video. The following steps appear in print and are explained. Step 1: Factor any polynomial that is not a monomial. Step 2: Use cancellation to divide the numerator and denominator by each common factor. Step 3: Multiply the resulting numerators and the resulting denominators to write the product in lowest terms.
