Üldjuhul võimaldab mp3-formaat paremat kvaliteeti, kuid faili maht on suur. Real audio on väiksema failimahuga, kuid sellega kaasneb kehvem kvaliteet. Aeglase ühenduse korral on seetõttu otstarbekam valida real audio helindid. Kiirema ühenduse korral tasub kuulata parema kvalitee

Cleaner Energy Cooler Climate: Developing Sustainable Energy Solutions for South Africa
For South Africa, finding a policy approach that balances the increasing demand for energy with the need for sustainability, equity, and climate change mitigation is a particular challenge. Through energy modelling indicators of sustainable development and policy analysis, Harald Winkler builds a rich and detailed case study illustrating how a development-focused approach to energy and climate policy might work in South Africa. Moreover, with recent recordsetting global crude oil prices, he poin
Starting with psychology
The most ‘important and greatest puzzle’ we face as humans is ourselves (Boring, 1950, p. 56). Humans are a puzzle – one that is complex, subtle and multi-layered, and it gets even more complicated as we evolve over time and change in different contexts.
When answering the question ‘What makes us who we are?’, psychologists put forward a range of explanations about why people feel, think and behave the way they do. Just when psychologists seem to understand one bit of ‘who we are’
Buffalo grazing on Wyoming prairies
Grasslands are found where rainfall is low and temperatures are extreme. Grasslands experience drought and occasional fires. The soil of grasslands is deep, moist, and nutrient rich from dead grass and other organisms, which is good for agriculture.
Artemia blood circulation
Artemia blood circulation in the head and around the gut.
Aquatic Animal Skeleton - Backbone
The backbone of an aquatic animal allows it to be very flexible under water. It usually extends into a tail and is classified as a gliding joint.
Apple Screen 1
The apple has just fallen from the tree and rests on the ground.
Celery in pure water
The celery stalks take up the water and continue to live in this environment.
Numerical Simulation of Magnetic Flux Emerging Through a Model Solar Atmosphere: Density, Magnetic F
This animation is one of a series depicting the results of a two-dimensional ideal magneto-hydrodynamic simulation of magnetic flux emerging through a solar atmosphere. The simulation has a resolution of 300x500 cells and a length scale of 16 Mm x 6.8 Mm. The simulation depicts 1730 seconds in the evolution of the model.
After Hurricane Floyd: East Coast Flyover September 16, 1999 from SeaWiFS

Ozone Layer Shielding Our Planet
An animation showing the ozone layer shielding our planet from the suns intense ultraviolet radiation. Ozone absorbs nearly all of the biologically damaging UV radiation from the sun.
Ozone Measurements from 2000 through 2003 (WMS)
This visualization shows the total ozone concentrations for the Earth from January 1, 2000 through December 31, 2003, as measured by the Toms instrument on the Earth Probe satellite. Low ozone (less than 200 Dobson units) is depicted as regions of dark blue, with high ozone (greater that 330 Dobson units) depicted as yellow and red. The most visible and dynamic feature of the ozone distribution is the ozone hole that forms over Antarctica during September of each year. The amount of ozone in the
Global Tobacco Control
Provides an introduction to global tobacco control. Presents the health and economic burden of tobacco use worldwide and highlights practical approaches to tobacco prevention, control, surveillance, and evaluation. Examines transnational tobacco control issues, including the following: the interpretation and packaging of epidemiologic evidence for policy makers, the determinants of tobacco addiction, the economics of global tobacco control, tobacco industry strategies, legal foundations for regu
Understanding Online Interaction
This course is designed to provide an introductory level of understanding of the manner in which individuals interact with one another via the network. Possession of this understanding is absolutely critical to your ability to design effective learning environments on the network. This course takes an immersion approach to helping you develop your understanding by requiring you to make extensive, reflective use of several representative interactive media. You will also read several representativ
Robust System Design, Summer 1998
This course has been conceived and designed for SDM's "product development" track to be developed in conjunction with the Center for Innovation in Product Development. It will require a substantial, team-based design project. The goal will be to define industrially relevant design projects in the SDM sponsor companies and at MIT. Teams will document their efforts in a written report and make a formal presentation of their results.
