Although this is directed to professional, it still has valid applications for parents who may have unused drugs at home. This is a good resource to help introduce or to review compound words. A song plays in the background. A written definition is given at the beginning and then pictures are shown and students can say what the compound word is. This would be fun for a center or large group activity. Some of the words are popcorn, snowman, ladybug. Then students are asked to decide what 2 words make up the picture. (example-basket + ball= basketball). This would be helpful for ELL students and/or special education
