The powerful and majestic carnivores are the focus of many television documentaries. In this unit we will delve into the lives of these fearsome hunters and explore their physical adaptations and social behaviour. This is the fifth unit in the ‘Studying mammals’ series.
Turtle Skeleton - Hind Limb (Ball and Socket Joint)
Turtles use their hind limbs (flippers) of its skeleton to propel themselves through water. It is webbed and is connected to a ball and socket joint, allowing the turtle to be agile in water. Its sharp claws help the turtle to grab and defend itself.

Visualization of 3D Ozone Data: Nimbus-7 SBUV
An animation which first shows the height structure of Nimbus-7 SBUV ozone profile measurements, then an animation of the three dimension structure of atmospheric ozone using a cut-away surface and a series of isosurfaces at various ozone values.
