Starting with cavepeople, whose crude implements could only "toot, whistle, plunk and boom," the owl explains how these beginnings led to the development of the four basic types of Western musical instruments: brass, woodwinds, strings, and percussion.

This video explains how to find the area under a curve. When finding the area under a curve for a region, it is often easiest to approximate area using a summation series. This approximation is a summation of areas of rectangles. The rectangles can be either left-handed or right-handed and, depending on the concavity, will either overestimate or underestimate the true area. (5:52)
