Dr. Ohno-Machado is a Professor of Medicine and the founding chief of the Division of Biomedical Informatics at UCSD. Two years ago, her research group transitioned to UCSD from Harvard Medical School. They continue to work on biomedical pattern recognition from large data sets, statistical learning, and privacy technology. She is the Principal Investigator of SCANNER.
