Macbeth: The Film
Following a London West End run in December 2007, a sold-out limited engagement at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in March 2008, and an eight-week run on Broadway, director Rupert Goold's stage production of Macbeth was filmed for television at the end of 2009 with Patrick Stewart in his Tony-nominated performance as the ambitious general, and Tony-nominated Kate Fleetwood as his scheming wife. The Northeastern men's hockey team was dealt a heartbreaking 4-3 overtime loss against #12 Merrimack on Friday night at Matthews Arena.
Merrimack's Joe Cucci headlined the affair with a hat trick while the teams combined for a staggering 108 penalty minutes. Both Northeastern and Merrimack lit the lamp twice with the extra skater. The Huskies went 2-7 on the power play while the Warriors attacked on 2-of-6 opportunities.
