Walter's Pond at Odon, Indiana
Odon was originally laid out as Clarksburg in 1846, but the town name was changed on April 4, 1881. Two of the biggest advocates for the change were Joe Dun Laughlin and Caleb O’Dell; thus the “O” and “Dun” from their names were put together to form Odon. Here are some Odon citizens dressed in their Sunday best out for a stroll at Walter's Pond. They have spotted some wildlife up on the hill in the distance.,Daviess County Journey,Addressed to: Miss Gertrude Dobbins, 1221 Pleasant St.,
