This video will demonstrate how to build a rain gauge from everyday household materials (printed ruler from website, glass jar, clear tape). This video was made with the intention of using it as a project in a 4th grade classroom.

The Rain Gauge is a type of instrument used by meteorologists to gather and measure the amount of liquid precipitation (normally liquid as opposed to solid such as snow) over a set period of time.
