"Using blogs for assessment": An interview with Alyce McGovern
In this video Alyce McGovern, Senior Lecturer in the School of Social Sciences at UNSW, discusses the impact of using a blog-based assessment task on student engagement with the course materials in her course, Crime, Politics and the Media. Drawing on student feedback and evaluations of the task, as well as examples of successful blogs, Alyce discusses the ways in which student learning practices were not only enhanced by the task, but also how blogs facilitated a community of learners.
