A lyrical piece on the First Annual Otis College of Art and Design Kite Day. The event was organized by the Integrated Learning Program at Otis, headed by Rich Shelton. It was held on the beach, just north of the Santa Monica Pier. Children and adults brought their kites or made them on the beach that day. World-renowned kite makers and designers Tom van Sant ('57), Melanie Walker, and George Peters were there for help and inspiration.
