Rock, Paper, Scissors-Settling Classroom Disputes
I have open discussions with students about settling simple disputes. For example, we talk about when two people arrive in line at the same time, what usually happens? Sometimes an argument will start, maybe some pushing or shoving. Then we discuss other strategies to help solve the conflict fast one way is by playing "Rock, Paper, Scissor shoot". Then I show the video clip using a LCD projector. When the clip is over I pass out a card from a deck of cards and ask the kids to find a p
Cosine Ratios
This video explains how cosine ratios, along with sine and tangent ratios, are ratios of two different sides of a right triangle. Cosine ratios are specifically the ratio of the side adjacent to the represented base angle over the hypotenuse. In order to find the measure of the angle, we must understand inverse trigonometric functions. (2:03)
Tangent Ratios
This video explains how tangent ratios, along with cosine and sine ratios, are ratios of two different sides of a right triangle. Tangent ratios are the ratio of the side opposite to the side adjacent the angle they represent. In order to find the measure of the angle itself, one must understand inverse trigonometric functions. (2:01)
Using Sine to Calculate the Area of a Triangle
This video explains how to derive a formula for using sine to calculate the area of a triangle by using the standard formula for the area of a triangle. Using sine to calculate the area of a triangle means that we can find the area knowing only the measures of two sides and an angle of the triangle. There is no need to know the height of the triangle, only how to calculate using the sine function. (2:03)
Introduction to the center of mass
This 9:36 long video introduces the center of mass, the point of location
in which the total mass of the object exists. For example, when forces are applied on the center of mass, the object accelerates with the exact same force applied.
Lugosi teaches math - Positive series2
Béla Lugosi teaches advanced mathematical concepts in this video. This video shows a variety of tests to prove positive series. He begins with what is called a comparison test and formulates proofs. Lugosi's hidden love for mathematics is illuminated by his animated teaching style. This video is geared to older, advanced mathematics learners.
Alphabets A to Z for Kids
Practice the letters of the alphabet with pictures for each letter. Â Animated clip art pictures follow a slide of the upper case letter and the model word. (2:33)Â
How to Write Bubble Letters
In this clip learn how to make bubble letters. The craftswoman shows how to write rounded like bubbles, squared-off shape letters, or in a block shape. Stylize bubble letters can be use for a decorative touch.
Latte art or coffee art
Latte art or coffee art refers to designs created on the tops of espresso based drinks by a barista. These designs are usually created in one of two ways and sometimes using a combination of both. This is a fun video to watch and to encourage students to see art as an extension of life. Three minutes of wonderment.

A two minute video on how younger children can write, draw, and decorate a homemade book. Very easy to follow.
How to Make a Christmas Bow
This is a six minute video that explains how to make a holiday bow for a tree.
Small Simplest Motor - The Electromagnet
See a small simple motor made out of just a wire, battery, and magnet -- creating mechanical motion. No narration. Does not explain how to make it, just an example of one. Run time 1:50
Dr. Loopy's Blinding you with Science #5: Magnetism and electromagnets
This is #5 in the series of Blinding you with Science videos was produced to help elementary students with sceince concepts. In this episode Dr. Loopy and his friends look at how magnets work and do experiments with magnetism.
