Lubbock and Texas Tech Host Texas FFA Convention
Around 10,000 high school students from across the state are in Lubbock on the Texas Tech campus for the 83rd Texas FFA State Convention. For the third time since 2005, Lubbock and Texas Tech have hosted this event. The United Spirit Arena serves as the main convention hall with other university buildings hosting other functions as well. The convention also introduces many high school students to Texas Tech.
