"On Saturdays" by Robbert Flick at Expo Park/USC
On April 28, 2012, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority will unveil a historic new light rail expansion -- and with it a new work of public art by USC professor Robbert Flick.
On Saturdays will grace the Expo Park/USC stop just meters from the USC Roski School of Fine Arts, where Flick has worked since 1976. The piece consists entirely of images taken in the USC University Park neighborhood on Saturday mornings from 2007 to 2009.

Green Games Build Eco-Awareness
UMass Amherst staff and students held the first Green Games sustainability competition involving hundreds of students in 23 residence halls. Teams earned points by attracting "likes" to videos on Facebook, for example, or getting fellow residents to attend films and lectures, reset laptops to low-energy mode, recycle used batteries and broken electronics, or tap into a water-conserving shorter shower competition. The winning team was the Orchard Hill residential area.
