Barbara Anne "Niki" Rysdale '40: A Pioneering Woman Architect
She attended the University of Arizona when Old Main was the biggest building on campus. She pledged Delta Gamma, married the football quarterback and studied engineering. During World War II, she repaired bombers for the Navy and then went on to become the only woman architect of her day in the state of Arizona. At age 90, Barbara Anne "Niki" Rysdale is still going strong.
