This film is an excerpt from "Memories of Alfred," a compilation of 16mm and 35mm amateur movies taken from the early 1930s through the late 1950s.
The primary cinematographers in the "Memories of Alfred" compilation were W. Varick Nevins III '32 and Huber S. Watson '41. They knew the Alfred story needed to be told and took the time to capture a wide variety of images during the 1930s-50s.
