New Treatment for Early Stage Lung Cancer
Patients who cannot have surgery for an early stage lung cancer may now benefit from a new radiation therapy technology called stereotactic radiation therapy (STARS). This treatment can typically be given in 3 or 4 days as opposed to the 5 or 6 weeks with conventional radiation therapy.
