New Hope for Children With Tracheal Stenosis
David White, M.D., and Scott Bradley, M.D., of MUSC Children's Hospital discuss slide tracheoplasty, a procedure offering new hope to children with congenital tracheal stenosis. Slide tracheoplasty has a low risk of morbidity and mortality. Because the procedure requires cardiopulmonary bypass, it is best performed at a dedicated children's hospital. This is a good video to introduce older students to the life of Leonard da Vinci. Sung to the tune of "Dear Prudence", students will learn that Da Vinci could write backwards and was a vegetarian.
