The War of 1812 was America's response to the British Orders in Council which saw the US Navy humiliated and the capitol being burned. This video is about Andrew Jackson actions in saving New Orleans and how he recruited both pirates and free blacks to defend the city. The video does a good job of fighting this battle, that actually took place after the war was over.

Celebrating 50 Years of WSU Nuclear Reactor Center
A small group of employees, former and current, along with students and guests, gathered at the WSU Nuclear Radiation Center on Monday, March 7th, 2011 to celebrate 50 years of safe operation. The reactor was brought to criticality at 9:58 p.m., the original start-up time in 1961. Further celebrations marking the 50th anniversary will be made later in the month.
