A project is the best way to learn! Work with this crew to see what they did, and it will help you to create your own video without making some of the usual mistakes and maybe even help you add a few special features. Run time 07:08

Alice is a free teaching tool from Carnegie Mellon University that allows programming novices to use a simple drag-and-drop interface to create 3D computer animation. The Alice Project was begun by the late Randy Pausch, a Carnegie Mellon alumnus and professor of computer science and author of The Last Lecture.
The FBI, in partnership with Carnegie Mellon University's School of Computer Science, is expanding their ongoing Safe Online Surfing program (SOS) to include a national competition in wh
The purpose of this resource is to log soil data using a Davis soil moisture and temperature station. Soil moisture and temperature sensors are installed at multiple depths and a station is set up to measure and record measurements at 15 minute intervals. These measurements are transferred to your school\s computer and then submitted to GLOBE via email data entry. Gravimetric soil moisture measurements must be taken to develop calibration curves for the soil moisture sensors.
The purpose of this resource is to sure the distribution of different sizes of soil particles in each horizon of a soil profile. Using dry, sieved soil from a horizon, students mix the soil with water and a dispersing solution to completely separate the particles from each other. Students shake the mixture to fully suspend the soil in the water. The soil particles are then allowed to settle out of suspension, and the specific gravity and temperature of the suspension are measured using a hydrome
The purpose of this activity is to measure air pressure. Students record atmospheric pressure using a barometer or altimeter. Intended outcomes are that students gain an understanding that barometric or altimeter pressure varies and its increase or decrease indicates an upcoming change in the weather. Students also learn that the air has weight. Supporting background materials for both student and teacher are included.

That's a take! Video production is a great way to get involved in teams and to create something you will be proud of and can share with others while learning skills you never thought you had. You can save the files to email. You could burn a Cd or DVD of your movie. (2:48)
You have been patiently learning all the things you need to shoot your video. Now, follow the steps the project crew went through as they shot their video and hopefully it will give you some ideas too before you shoot. Run time 05:22
In this unit, students will research the history of school desegregation, and bring that history to life by listening to oral histories of North Carolinians who lived through desegregation. Students will then become historians, recording their own oral histories with relatives or community members, and reflecting on the experience through writing. The oral histories will be collected into a final project and placed in the school’s library for students and teachers to study in the future.
This is a video that starts with a story about a young boy being diagnosed with diabetes. The video explains the difference between Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes. (04:59)
Group design project involving integration of nuclear physics, particle transport, control, heat transfer, safety, instrumentation, materials, environmental impact, and economic optimization. Provides students with opportunity to synthesize knowledge acquired in nuclear and non-nuclear subjects and apply this knowledge to practical problems of current interest in nuclear applications design. Past projects have included using a fusion reactor for transmutation of nuclear waste, design and develop
