15.311 Organizational Processes (MIT)
Organizational Processes enhances students' ability to take effective action in complex organizational settings by providing the analytic tools needed to analyze, manage, and lead the organizations of the future. Emphasis is placed on the importance of the organizational context in influencing which individual styles and skills are effective. The subject centers on three complementary perspectives, or "lenses", on an organization: political, cultural, and strategic design. Students enrolled

1.012 Introduction to Civil Engineering Design (MIT)
1.012 introduces students to the theory, tools, and techniques of engineering design and creative problem-solving, as well as design issues and practices in civil engineering. The course includes several design cases, with an emphasis on built facilities (e.g., buildings, bridges and roads). Project design explicitly concerns technical approaches as well as consideration of the existing built environment, natural environment, economic and social factors, and expected life span. A large design ca
11.948 Power of Place: Media Technology, Youth, and City Design and Development (MIT)
This workshop provides an introduction to urban environmental design and explores the potential of information technology and the Internet to transform public education, city design, and community development in inner-city neighborhoods. Integration of comprehensive ("top-down") and grassroots ("bottom-up") approaches to design and planning is a major theme.
Students will work in a real neighborhood with real people on a real project, putting theory into practice and reflecting on insights gain
Disaster Recovery for a website
The company you work for have expanded their operations to include web-hosting services. This project involves developing a disaster recovery plan for the web-hosting services. Your task is to review the current infrastructure in place and develop a disaster recovery plan for the web-hosting services.

Particle technology : dilute particle systems
This is a video of the second lecture in the module Particle Technology, delivered to second year students who have already studied basic fluid mechanics. Dilute particle systems is mainly about sedimentation of single particles and dilute suspensions. The Particle Reynolds number determines the degree of turbulence in the fluid and techniques are provided for settling in laminar and turbulent systems. Industrial clarification is included.

Business Project
The aim of the Business Project is to give students the opportunity to combine work experience and investigation into an authentic business challenge, with a more in-depth research report. This not only offers links with potential employers but demonstrates understanding of the application of business principles in a real-world situation.
