The importance of managing people for the success of a project cannot be underestimated. This unit identifies the groups and individuals whose appropriate involvement in a project is important for its success, and considers the ways in which their contribution might be maximised.

The research sought to illuminate notions of ‘successful teachers’ by examining those factors contributing to the success of teachers working in schools in challenging circumstances. It also sought to contribute to debates over what ‘challenging circumstances’ might be. This was a joint research project between Lancashire LEA and St Martin’s College.

Learning Through Play - Mathematical Development
This resource is a 15 minute Teachers TV programme which reports on one example from a 2004 project involving over 40 schools in Wales that piloted a play based curriculum for 3 – 7 year olds.
