The yellow seed pods are the fruit of the honey mesquite plant. While the ovules of the fruit are becoming seeds after fertilization, the flower becomes a fruit pod.
3.8 Revision questions
Hearing is a familiar and important human sense that is a topic naturally of interest to those who are curious about human biology. This unit will enable you to relate what you read to your own sensory experiences – and indeed many of the questions asked have exactly that function. This unit will be best understood by those with some biological understanding.

Water Pollution and Food Chains
Developed for sixth grade. There are two key concepts covered in this lesson: first, how pollution can affect plants, and, second, how polluted plants affect the rest of the food cycle. In sum, this lesson teaches students about "Bioaccumulation".

Mold Mania
Developed for second grade. Students will first hypothesize whether wheat bread or white bread will grow more mold. They will test the hypothesis using a simple and inexpensive set up. Bread will be placed in a plastic bag to be observed and never opened. Students will measure mold on a daily basis and record the data to graph later. Students will analyze the results when the experiment is complete.

Penny and Cup Game
Developed for third grade. To discover if one eye is better than two. Students will test their sense of sight with both monocular and binocular vision. Students will drop a penny and see if it lands in the cup of water. They will have to rely on their sense of sight for this activity.

Wiggley Worms
Developed for second grade. Each group of students will be constructing their own worm ecosystem in a 2 liter soda bottle. They will be combining soil, gravel and sand in the bottle and then adding a bunch of worms to the material. The students will be planting a seed within the soil to observe how the plant shall grow over time. We will have six 2 liter soda bottles with worms and six 2 liter bottles without worms. The students will be examining how the worms affect the growing of the seed.

These are practice tests intended for Ecuadorian postgraduate medical training. The module will cover topics like: anatomy, anesthesiology, biochemestry, general surgery, embryology, epidemiology, pharmacology, physiology, genetics, gynecology & obstetrics, histology, internal medicine, medical statistics, microbiology, parasitology, pathology, pediatrics, psychiat
Lead and Manage organisational system, physical and financial resources: ACE School Management and L
This module examines the structures, systems and processes that should be established in order for a school to be effective. The expectation of all stakeholders in the school environment is that an effective school will be able to provide an education of progressively higher quality for all learners. The premise of this module is that effective education is built upon, and grounded in, policies, principles and values. The acts, regulations and policies of national and provincial governments have
SAS Triangle similarity test
An interactive applet and associated web page showing how the SAS similarity test works. Two similar triangles are shown that can be resized by dragging. The other triangle adjusts to remain similar and the side-angle-side elements are highlighted to show how they are involved in this test of similarity. (two sides in proportion and the included angle the same). The web page describes all this and has links to other related pages. Applet can be enlarged to full screen size for use with a classro
SSS Triangle similarity test
An interactive applet and associated web page showing how the SSS similarity test works. Two similar triangles are shown that can be resized by dragging. The other triangle adjusts to remain similar and the angle-angle-angle elements are highlighted to show how they are involved in this test of similarity. (all three corresponding sides in the same proportion). The web page describes all this and has links to other related pages. Applet can be enlarged to full screen size for use with a classroo
Perimeter of a kite
A web page and interactive applet show how to compute the perimeter of a kite. A kite is shown that can be resized by dragging its vertices. As you drag, the perimeter is continuously recalculated. Text on the page explains that the perimeter is the sum of the sides. For those who prefer it, in a formula that is given. Applet can be enlarged to full screen size for use with a classroom projector. This resource is a component of the Math Open Reference interactive geometry reference book project
Diagonals of a rectangle
A web page and interactive applet show how to compute the length of the diagonals of a rectangle. A rectangle is shown that can be resized by dragging its vertices. As you drag, the diagonals are continuously recalculated. Text on the page explains calculation. For those who prefer it, in a formula that is given. Trapezoid area and perimeter. (Coordinate Geometry)
An interactive applet and associated web page showing how to find the area and perimeter of a trapezoid from the coordinates of its vertices. The trapezoid can be either parallel to the axes or rotated. The grid and coordinates can be turned on and off. The area and perimeter calculation can be turned off to permit class exercises and then turned back on the verify the answers. The applet can be printed as it appears on the screen to make handouts. The web page has a full description of the meth
