Professors Marc Christensen and Volkan Otugen of SMU and Professor Gunter Gross of UNT are working to create a system of fiber-optic wires and sensors that can replace the vast network of nerves inside a human limb. This story about their work is courtesy of CBS 11 News of Dallas.

Italian Taster Lesson: Parts of the Body - Pesca Game Cards.
At the completion of this lesson you will be able to understand a Italian talking about his family. You will first listen to a dialogue and answer questions with yes or no. Based on the same dialogue you will be given multiple choice questions. You will then choose how a certain idea is worded in a dialogue. Lastly, you will put the sentence in the correct order.
This interview stresses some basics of helping students get organized such as finding a place to work that is well equipped, best times to do homework, talking to teacher about time to do homework, and the importance of a structure including time limits. Also mentioned not correcting homework so that the teacher knows what needs to be reviewed. The video is about five minutes and well worth showing.
