Nov 4 - FedEx, Toys R Us, and Best Buy, among others, are adding temporary workers to help during the busy holiday season, but some companies are planning to hire fewer temporary employees than in the past. Jill Bennett reports.
Pride Parade 2012 and the Empty Closet
Rocky and friends participate for the second year running in Rochester's Gay Pride Parade. This year, marchers also handed out facsimilies of the first issue of The Empty Closet and the University's new Diversity brochure. The Empty Closet, one of the country's longest-running LGBT publications, was started by members of a UR student group, the Rochester Gay Liberation Front, and first distributed in 1971.
