Revisiting The Moon
Evidence suggests there may be deposits of ice within craters at the
poles of the moon. If this proves to be the case, Planetary Scientist
Dr. Paul Spudis says it could possibly be “the most valuable piece of
real estate in the solar system.” This video explains why this mission may be important and the problems that need to be overcome.

Tracking Lightning
There are over twenty-five million cloud-to-ground lightning flashes
strike in the U.S. every year. Meteorologists use a combination of math and science to track when and where they will strike. This video shows students how these scientists work and their importance. (02:07)

Oceanus sailing the Panama Canal
Oregon State University's new research vessel, Oceanus, recently sailed from Woods Hole, MA to Newport, OR. En route, the ship crossed the Panama Canal during a 28-day voyage and now docks at OSU's Hatfield Marine Science Center.
