Coug Alumnus Wants Everything to Taste Like Bacon
SEATTLE, Wash.-- Rows and rows of boxes sit on the shelves of a small office and warehouse near Boeing Field in Seattle. Inside hundreds of those small brown boxes are lip balm, salt, and popcorn. However, this is unlike any warehouse you've ever seen. That's because most of the products taste like bacon. That's the philosophy of J&D's Foods, 'Everything should taste like bacon.'

WSU Student Believed Affected by Meningitis
PULLMAN, Wash. -- A Washington State University student has been hospitalized by a possible case of bacterial meningitis. WSU Health and Wellness caregivers say the 19-year old male student has been presumptively diagnosed with meningitis due to Neisseria meningitidis bacteria. The student had been ill with flu like symptoms for 2-3 days prior to admission, and is now in a Spokane hospital undergoing further care and treatment.

Final projects for the "Science and Cooking: From Haute Cuisine to the Science of Soft Matter" science fair were on display at the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Illustrating the tenacious bond between science and cooking, students used physics, chemistry, and biology to manipulate recipes and create foods that stretch the imagination.
