Biography Book Reports
Our 5th grade students had the task of completing a Biography Book Report. Each student checked out a biography that was on their reading level from our school library. They had to read the book, take an AR test, write a summary, and complete the person report as seen in the video. Finally, each student had to give a brief oral report on their biography.

There are more cases of HIV infection in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa than in Botswana and Uganda combined. Led Professor Marie-Louise Newell (UCL Institute of Child Health), the Africa Centre for Health & Population Studies in KwaZulu-Natal not only treats those in the area with HIV but also gives testing and studies the spread of the virus in order to tackle the epidemic. The Africa Centre is a research centre of the University of KwaZulu Natal and is funded largely by the Wellcome Trust.

Each letter of the alphabet is written in cursive. All of the capital letters then the lowercase letters. A short sentence is created in the end combining the cursive letters together.
It only shows the letter being written once, so you would have to pause or go back to see it over again.
The video starts by counting 10 hearts, then sings a valentine song to the tune of "One Little Indian." Hearts are on a felt board while the teacher sings. Various shapes are also taught between the song.This video is really great for small children to catch on to.
