CPU vs GPU: Protein Folding Simulation
This simulation shows a protein folding simulation of TRPCage (an artificially designed protein) running in implicit solvent. The simulation shows a single Intel E5462 2.80GHz CPU versus an NVIDIA C1060 GPU.

Folding pathway of the B1 domain of protein G explored by a multiscale modeling
The understanding of the folding mechanisms of single domain proteins is an essential step in the understanding of protein folding in general. Recently, we developed a mesoscopic CABS protein model which was successfully applied in protein structure prediction, studies of protein thermodynamics and modeling of protein complexes. In the present research this model is employed in a detailed characterization of the folding process of a simple globular protein, the B1 domain of IgG-binding protein G

Real Footage-Ladybird Life Cycle
In this video, students will observe real footage of the ladybug life cycle. This content is appropriate for older elementary/middle school students as there is no auditory commentary but written descriptions of each stage of cycle. Students will witness ladybugs mating, larva eating, chrysalis forming, and ladybug hatching. This is a good companion resource for a science lesson/unit on insects, life cycles, etc. and would work well as a center on an interactive whiteboard. (2:32)
Nuclear Power Explained : Climate of Hope : Part 1
This partly-animated documentary takes viewers on a tour through the science of climate change, the nuclear fuel chain, and the remarkable energy revolution that is under way. Some of the images may be disturbing to younger viewers. (09:16)
Art and Music-Frederick Remington and Antonin Dvorak
Integrating art and music-a feast for the eyes and the ears. In this video, students will learn about the Impressionist painter Frederick Remington and the music of Czech composer of Romantic music
Antonin Dvorak. Slides of Remington's work move across screen as Dvorak's music is played in background. This is well done and is a good teaching resource to integrate the arts into the classroom. Content is appropriate for upper elementary and middle school students.
Standing Waves Pre-Lab
Pre-lab assignment on standing waves for trigonometry based physics lab sequence.
Japanese Nuclear Reactors Explained for Students
Mr. Mac explains to his students what happened to the Japanese nuclear reactors, in kid-friendly language and drawings. (Teacher is John McChesney, Director of Rock-it Science, a Silicon Valley nonprofit organization.) (14:29)
EconomÃa PolÃtica I
