18 Year Old Receives Heartmate II at MUSC
18 year old Asha Wilson's heart failure had reached a point where she was bedridden and dangerously close to dying. In April of 2010, she became the youngest person to receive a HeartMate II device at the MUSC Heart and Vascular Center. Now she is home from the hospital living a normal life and hoping to get a heart transplant.
